Software Analysis - Microsoft Fix it Center

Friends! I’m telling you! Open a new tab, log on to http://fixit.support.microsoft.com and download Microsoft Fix it Center. It’s Amazing and I’m just speechless about it!

Microsoft has finally gathered all its individual fix it tools and created a suite that covers all fix it tools necessary for your computer. When I saw it for the first time, I was thinking of the download size. There are hundreds of fix it tools available on the internet! Download them? I was wondering how long it was going to take. Three hours? Four? Or maybe five? But hey, there was nothing to worry about. It offers a web installer for download which is of very small size. The web installer then downloads Microsoft Fix it Center and installs it. After completion of the download, it then analyzes your computer and finds the critical locations/hardware where the problems could breed. Like CD/DVD drive, or the sound or audio driver. It downloads only those fix it tools which are necessary for your computer. In my computer, it downloaded 11 necessary fix it tools.

When the setup completes, Microsoft Fix it Center launches itself.

You see five columns. First one shows/hides status. Second is the problem column. Find what problem you have from this column. If you have problem with power usage and battery life, then see the fourth row. Third column says you date and time when you last used the corresponding fix it tool. Fourth one is the detail column. Click the down arrow button and details for corresponding problem will be displayed. Last one is Action column and it says you which action you can take.

If you have a problem which is not listed here, then click on the ‘Go to Microsoft Fix it Center Online…’ to solve your problem online.

Microsoft Fix it center also updates itself periodically so that all fix it tools remain up to date. The settings window allows you to change the options for your online account and data sharing. From this, you can configure your online Microsoft Fix it account or you can also select whether to send information about your computer to Microsoft Fix it online center or not.
Really, Microsoft has done a great job by packaging all its nice tools into one package – Microsoft Fix it Center.

I hope you’ll find it interesting too.
